These groups assist at the Liturgies at Little Flower on the weekends and on Holy Days.

Choir

This group sings each Sunday at 10:00 a.m. Mass. Practice each Wednesday at 7:15 p.m. All are welcome and encouraged to join, including high school and college students, and instrumentalists. Volunteers who are interested in singing at funerals are also welcome. Anyone interested in cantoring but cannot attend rehearsals can speak with me after any mass.

Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion

Do you love the Eucharist and want to get more involved in Mass? Consider assisting in the distribution of the Body and Blood of Christ during Mass. This ministry is available to any confirmed parishioner. We look to train new ministers on a regular basis. The next training will be announced. Training is also provided to those who wish to distribute communion to the homebound.

Greeters

Parishioners involved in this ministry give welcome to all who come to celebrate the Sunday liturgies on Saturday evening and Sunday Masses.

Hospitality

The parish hospitality committee is responsible for organizing and preparing food, snacks, and drinks for the various social events in the parish.  This includes doughnut and coffee Sundays, receptions in the gathering space, and/ or parish center for welcoming or sending off new priests, seminarians, and deacons or simply a parish social event.  The committee chairperson is Maureen Brennan.

Lectors

Proclaiming the Word of God at the liturgies by reading the Scriptures during Sunday Liturgies. Reference and interpretive materials are available to assist in the readings.

Liturgical Environment Committee

Meets to plan and arrange for the church décor for the various liturgical seasons.

Mass Coordinators

This liturgical ministry involves assisting the priest in preparing for the Mass. This minister helps in preparing the Sanctuary and the Altar for Liturgy. He or she also facilitates the assignments of Eucharistic Ministers before Mass. The minister also assists after Mass by preparing the sacristy for the next liturgy.

Youth from 5th grade thru high school are permitted and encouraged to join this ministry and serve at all liturgical and other church services.

Ushers

This group of men and women parishioners take care of the details – collection, bulletins, etc. – that contribute to the good order of our liturgies.

PreCana classes are held around the city at various times and places. It is important to call early and arrange to share in these classes.
